Inspired by my childhood days playing in the stockroom of my fathers clothing store, Cordovan embodies both past and present. The scent evokes timeless sophistication and luxury that will transport you to an ara gone by. The scent of Cordovan, layered with notes of citrus, floral, resin, and smoke, is an olfactory journey—both bold and sophisticated, a timeless expression of craftsmanship and raw elegance. It opens with crisp notes of bergamot and green floral notes of violet leaf adding richness and depth. Beneath it all, hints of benzoin add a sweet, resinous warmth while smoked oud lingers in the background, imparting an earthy, smoky complexity that echoes tradition and luxury.-

Cordovan is our first collaboration with Chicago artist Clayton Dibble. Each vessel is thrown by hand, glazed and fired in Clayton's Lakeview studio making each ceramic vessel a unique work of art. Cordovan is a limited run of 50 artist stamped and hand numbered scented candles honoring traditional craftsmanship and treasured memories of the past. 

Clayton Dibble is an Industrial Designer, who focuses on how the ideals of form and function complement each other to satisfy the need for a usable object. As a ceramist, Clayton looks to nature as a main source of inspiration for his work. The way water ripples, how a tree extends its branches, or the textures of different vegetation- movement and structure dance throughout his art. Clayton strive to be thoughtful and authentic in his work, allowing materials and shape to take center stage in his designs. Whenever possible, Clayton tries to work sustainably, with a continued awareness of his carbon footprint. He thrives on collaboration and try to infuse a bit of wit and humor as he creates.
